“It is the relationship that heals, the relationship that heals, the relationship that heals.” — Irvin D. Yalom
I believe that healing happens through connection—both within the therapeutic relationship and in the relationship you cultivate with yourself.
MY PRACTICE, IN A NUTSHELL:
Choosing to connect with a therapist can feel vulnerable, and I’m grateful you’re here. Whether you are beginning therapy for the first time or returning with the intention of exploring deeper, insight-oriented work, I welcome the opportunity to work together. I believe healing can occur within a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship—one that allows us to collaborate thoughtfully and intentionally toward fulfillment. Together, we will clarify your goals and develop an approach uniquely suited to support, challenge, and deepen your growth.
MY APPROACH:
The relationship between client and therapist is the cornerstone of therapeutic success. I prioritize getting to know each client in a deep, trusting, and authentic way. Once a strong connection is established, we can explore evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique goals, supporting both healing and growth. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based modalities and often take an eclectic approach, combining techniques to best meet your individual needs.
MY FOCUS:
Most of my work focuses on complex trauma, OCD, dissociation, grief and queer populations. I work well with those who are interested in exploring their life experience in a depth oriented way.
I am experienced in working with adolescents, young & older adults, people experiencing domestic violence, the LGBTQIA+ community, grieving populations, people experiencing substance abuse, complex trauma, mood disorders, OCD and people struggling with dissociation. As a queer provider, I'm passionate about supporting my community.
MY COMMUNICATION STYLE:
I prioritize collaborative work rooted in compassion. You can expect me to be empathetic and supportive, but not a “blank slate therapist”. When appropriate, I challenge clients towards growth and reflection by pointing out patterns, uncovering themes, and encouraging deeper exploration.
I take a less clinical approach to therapy, and enjoy creating a space that is comfortable for clients. Feel free to come exactly as you are, bring your favorite snacks and drinks or your pet to session. You will likely meet my cat (more than once!) while working together.
A BIT ABOUT ME:
I am originally from Arizona and enjoy calling the west home. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, camping, live music, cooking, traveling and spending time with my cat, Guacamole. I am passionate about the field of mental health, social advocacy, and philosophy. Above all else, I enjoy learning and connecting with others in a meaningful way.
